Dr Debra Wilson (she/her) began working with at Grantham Street General Practice in 2008 having worked in community health in Broadmeadows for 15 years. She became a director of the practice in 2016.
Dr Debra Wilson and Dr Li-Hsia Neoh are now the proud directors of Grantham Street General Practice. We wish our wonderful colleague Dr John Stanton and his family all the very best in his retirement effective from 31st August 2022.
Dr Wilson graduated from the University of Melbourne in 1988, completing a Diploma of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at PANCH in 1991, and becoming a Fellow of the RACGP in 1992. She completed a Master of Social Health (Health Policy) in 2012 at the University of Melbourne in 2012. A particular focus on the theory and use of language has improved her capacity and passion for general practice. She was a Clinical Editor with Health Pathways Melbourne at NWMPHN from 2013 to 2018 learning valuable skills in understanding and communicating decision making in general practice. She has particular interests in young people’s health, antenatal care, women’s health and mental health but enjoys all aspects of general practice. She remains committed to systems improvement in healthcare, teaching and mentoring, and placing primary care and the care of patients and their families at the centre of healthcare.
